What exactly are mods and what do they do?

Mods give your Apollo Pen a whole new dimension. With the right mod, you can add a stylus or even convert between pen and pencil on the fly! We have several mods for you to choose from: STYLUS MOD ($5 each) - This mod simply screws onto the back of the pen so you can also use it on touch screen devices. Each reward already includes 1 Stylus mod! Additional styluses can be added for $5 each. PENCIL MOD ($10 each) - This mod simply screws onto the back of the Apollo Pen to allow back and forth conversion between pen and mechanical pencil. The pencil mod can be added for $10 each. You can also add: APOLLO ROLL UP ORGANIZER ($15) - Our nylon refill organizer is the perfect companion to the Apollo Set. It has several flexible pockets that can comfortably fit between 20 to 30 refills and pens. ADDITIONAL COLOR RINGS ($3 for a set of 4) - Help you indicate the color of the refill or simply allow you to change the look of your pen to suit your taste. Each set includes 1xBlue, 1xRed, 1xBlack, 1xSilver, and now 1xGreen rings. ADDITIONAL PEN SLEEVES ($10 for a set of 3) - This add-on is only available exclusively to the Tri-Scale Backers: A set of 3 sleeves to be used if you want to store or carry single pens. How do I add mods to my pledge?

To receive any of the mods along with your base reward, simply add multiples of the required amount to your pledge. For example, to receive additional Stylus Mods along with the Apollo Pen+Stylus Reward you simply add $5 to your $64 pledge (totaling $69). If you want 2 additional Stylus mods, you add 2 x $5 for a total of $74, and so on. You can mix and match your rewards as you see fit! When the campaign ends, we will send out surveys where you can re-confirm exactly what you pledged for. Last updated: Thu, Oct 31 2013 2:16 pm EDT

How do I get the Pencil Mod? Where do I find the Pencil Mechanism? What’s the difference?

To give your Apollo Pen the ability to convert into a pencil (and back), you will need the 1) Apollo Pencil Mod and 2) Lamy Z60 pencil mechanism component. To get the 1) Apollo Pencil Mod, you simply add another $10 per mod to your pledge. With the pencil mod, ANY ONE of your pens can be converted into a pencil. To get the 2) Lamy Z60, simple look for it like any other refill. It can easily be found online or at certain pen stores. Will the Stylus and Pencil Mods still allow the pens to fit inside the Apollo Tri-Scale? Can I post the cap on the end of the pen as well?

Absolutely!!! The Tri-Scale is designed to securely fit pens with the stylus mod and pencil mod installed! Also note that you can post your pen cap onto the end of your Apollo Pen with or without these mods installed. Last updated: Thu, Oct 31 2013 2:21 pm EDT

When/How do I pick my pen and Tri-Scale color choices? Can I mix and match pen colors when I pledge for a Tri-Scale?

After the campaign is successfully completed, we will be sending out surveys to confirm your color and customization mod choices as well as some other details. You will be able choose the colors of EACH of your pens. When you pledge for the Tri-Scale, you will be able to choose: 1) The color of the Tri-Scale 2) The color for each of the 3 pens (you have the freedom to choose whatever color you desire for every pen) 3) The color for each of the 3 Hi-Tec-C refills (again, you can choose whatever colors you want for each refill) Last updated: Thu, Oct 31 2013 2:29 pm EDT

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
